Plan the system
Do the infrastructure once.
The expensive way to add electrical upgrades is one job at a time. If several are coming, including solar or battery storage down the track, look at the home as one electrical system first.

Six things to look at before the individual jobs.

-
Switchboard
Is the existing board suitable for the planned loads?
-
EV charging
Where the charger could go and what supply it may need.
-
Cooktop + hot water
Cooktop wiring, hot water connections and the supply they need.
-
Power + circuits
Extra power points and circuits where you need them.
-
Solar + battery storage
How solar panels or a home battery would fit with the switchboard, so the plan allows for them.
-
Future loads
Allow for future solar, battery storage or other upgrades while access is still easy.
How it works

Still have a question?
Call Kieran direct on 0415 343 050Why not just book each upgrade separately?
You can, but if several upgrades are coming, looking at the home as one electrical system first can avoid doing the same infrastructure work twice.
Will I need a switchboard upgrade?
It depends on the existing board and the loads you’re planning. Checking that the switchboard can handle new circuits is one of the first things the review looks at; we confirm it upfront, not after.
Can you advise where an EV charger should go?
Yes: where the charger could go and what supply it may need, as part of the wider plan.
Can the plan allow for solar or a battery later?
Yes. If solar or battery storage is on your list, we look at how it fits with the switchboard and the other upgrades you’re planning, so it’s allowed for in the plan from the start.
What should I send?
A list of what you’re planning, a photo of your switchboard and any quotes or plans you already have. None of it is essential to start.
Is the review free?
Yes. The initial review is free, with no obligation.
How quickly will I hear back?
