To Whom It May Concern,
I am pleased to provide this reference for Kieran Ord and LED Solutions in support of their tender submission for electrical maintenance services across IRT retirement villages in the ACT and NSW.
I am the Retirement Village Manager for IRT in the ACT and have worked with Kieran during my time in this role. Kieran has also had a long working history with IRT, having provided electrical services to the village for approximately 12 years, dating back to when the village first opened.

During my time working with Kieran, I have found him to be reliable, professional and highly responsive. He has a strong understanding of the site, the residents and the standards required when working within a retirement village environment.
Kieran works closely with our maintenance staff, including Justin and Paul, to organise jobs, respond to issues and make sure work is carried out efficiently and safely. Communication is important in this environment, and Kieran has always been easy to deal with, practical in his approach and willing to work with the team to get the right outcome.
One of Kieran’s strengths is the way he works with residents. Many of our residents know him well, speak highly of him and request him for electrical work. He understands that working in a retirement village is not just about completing the task. It also requires patience, respect and awareness of each resident’s individual needs.
Safety is particularly important in this setting. Some residents may have reduced hearing, vision impairment, mobility concerns or other health considerations. Kieran and his team take the time to understand these needs and make sure work is carried out in a safe and respectful manner.
LED Solutions has completed a wide range of electrical maintenance and project work at the village. This has included general electrical maintenance, fault finding, lighting upgrades, power upgrades and more specialised work. Kieran was also involved in the recent pool upgrade, including wiring for the new control gear and power for the upgraded system.
More recently, LED Solutions has also begun installing electric vehicle chargers for residents, which is becoming an increasingly important service within the retirement village environment.
Kieran has a strong focus on quality and long term value. He is careful about the products he installs and often recommends commercial grade fittings where they are more suitable. His approach is to use reliable products that reduce repeat visits, lower ongoing maintenance requirements and improve energy efficiency.
This is particularly clear in his work with LED lighting. Kieran understands that not all LED products are the same, and he takes care to source quality fittings that last, perform well and reduce electricity usage. This approach adds value to the site by helping reduce maintenance costs and improving the outcome for residents.
Kieran has also shown a genuine connection to the IRT community. He has assisted beyond standard maintenance work, including installing Christmas feature lighting at the facility at his own cost. He and his wife have also been involved in the end of year Christmas party by helping organise games and prizes for residents.
In my experience, Kieran is not simply a contractor who attends site to complete a job. He has built strong relationships with staff and residents, understands the care required in this environment and takes pride in delivering work to a high standard.
I would be happy to recommend Kieran Ord and LED Solutions for ongoing electrical maintenance work within IRT retirement villages.
Kind regards,
Catherine Gaul

Kieran is one of those tradespeople I am comfortable calling when I need the job handled properly. In maintenance work, that matters. Jobs often need to be organised around customers, staff, opening hours and other trades, so you need people who communicate well, turn up when they say they will and get the work done without making things harder for everyone else.
One thing I have always valued is that Kieran is easy to contact and quick to respond when help is needed. If something urgent comes up, being able to get hold of the right person quickly makes a real difference, and Kieran has been very dependable in that regard.
His work is neat, considered and done properly. He is not the type of electrician who rushes through a job or puts in the cheapest option just to get it finished. He thinks about what will last, what will suit the site and what will reduce problems down the track.
Kieran is also easy to work with on site. He gets along with clients, staff and other trades, and he is calm and practical when problems come up. That is a big part of why I am comfortable working with him and recommending him to others.
From my experience, Kieran is reliable, honest and particular about the standard of his work. He takes pride in what he does, and I would have no hesitation recommending LED Solutions for electrical maintenance, upgrade works and ongoing commercial support.
Kind regards,

To whom it may concern,
We have used Kieran Ord and the LED Solutions team across our Cash Converters stores for approximately 14 years.
I manage the Belconnen, Tuggeranong and Woden stores, and over that time Kieran has looked after a wide range of electrical maintenance, upgrades and shop fit out work for us. This has included general electrical maintenance, power, testing electrical equipment, security lighting, alarms, lighting inside jewellery cabinets and replacing the main ceiling lights throughout the stores with LED fittings.

Retail stores are busy environments, and the work needs to be done properly without creating unnecessary disruption for staff or customers. Kieran understands that. He is easy to deal with, practical and works in a way that keeps the stores operating as smoothly as possible.
One of the reasons we have continued to use Kieran for so long is that he knows our stores and understands what matters to us. Some jobs are straightforward repairs, while others require more care because of trading hours, security, display areas, customer access or the way the store is set up. Kieran is good at working through those details and getting the job done.
A good example was the replacement of our ceiling lights. The existing lights were a unique size and not a simple standard replacement. Kieran found a suitable LED option, replaced damaged ceiling tiles where needed, and cut the new tiles to suit the ceiling layout so the finished result looked clean and professional.
He has always been reliable, professional and easy to contact when we need help. His work is neat, he follows through on what he says he will do, and he takes pride in leaving the job done properly.
I am comfortable recommending Kieran and the LED Solutions team for electrical maintenance, shop fit out work and ongoing commercial support.

I am very happy to provide a refence for Kieran Ord of LED Solutions. I’ve known Kieran for more than 15 years, using him exclusively for all electrical work at my home and my business.
I can attest to Kieran’s character – he is an open, friendly, scrupulously honest and reliable person, and this carries through into his working life. He, and his off-sider Nick, have never been anything but polite, willing, and cooperative in the sense that he works with me as his customer, not just for me. He looks for the best solution, for quality products that last, and finds economical solutions to problems.
This applies both to domestic work (my home), but also to his work for my business. We are a large (nearly 800 m2) veterinary hospital with many specialised areas and pieces of equipment. He rapidly grew to understand both the structure of the electrical system (built by others) but also the nature of our business, and he not only resolves issues and provides power for new equipment (high demand items such as X ray generators and large autoclaves) but works with us to keep the business flowing as he does his work.

Homes and renovations
Kieren is a talented and intelligent electrician who did an exceptional job managing the electrical work for our renovation. We couldn’t have been happier with his work and care. We recommend him without reservation.
We asked Kieran to quote for replacing all our lights with LED. Kieran is such an expert on what you should use and why. We are getting him back to install dimmer switches and would recommend him to anyone who needs this work done. He is a really great guy
We asked Kieran to replace all our lights with LED versions and he did a perfect job. We then got him back to provide outdoor lighting which has transformed the look of our house. Recently he installed our swim spa. His work is of the highest quality. He is professional, courteous, conscientious and clever. We could not recommend him more highly.
I recently engaged the services of Led Solutions to do all the Electrical work on my new build. I found Kieran to be very helpful and a true gentleman and with his experience with lighting he knows what looks good and it really shows.
I felt he really got involved in the project on a personal level and went out of his way to make the job look it’s absolute best. His work is unique and stands above other trades by not taking shortcuts in order to make money.
Out of all the trades on the build Kieran was by far the best and very professional and I would highly recommend him.
Had LED solutions around to finish the final touch in my renovated kitchen, the lighting and electrical. Did a outstanding job and very pleased with the results and professional approach. Kieran, the director arrived on site on time and after a consultation and some ideas we decided on the best way to illuminate the room and GPO locations in the kitchen.
James the tradesman arrived on time and introduced himself, was straight into work and did a great job. Drop sheets were placed and everything was done professionally and as explained in the consultation. Site was left clean and tidy. If your after a professional and quality job then LED solutions is your answer.

Kieran and his team have never faulted when doing work for me or my clients.
They wired up my home and were able to come up with some great ideas with the design and layout of the lighting and switches. They were also able to source special architectural downlights.
When I’ve recommend them to my clients, I’ve repeatedly been told that Keiran was great to work with.
Thanks for all your hard work.
Hi Kieran
Thank you for a lovely job today. I am thrilled to have light again in the kitchen. I will pass the word.
Cheers

Thanks for doing the LEDs, they’re great. It’s a new home!! I didn’t know how dull the others where before.
I made the transfer payment a few minutes ago.
Thanks, Kathryn Kelly
I recently had a whole house renovation and Kieran was brilliant. He was very knowledgeable in the type and placement of LED lighting to enhance every room. And it was less expensive than I expected. I totally recommend Kieran and would use his skills and services again”.
I hope that helps.
Cheers

Hi Kieran
We are very happy with the new lights. We can now see what we are eating for dinner! The extra light in the bathroom works well too. We haven’t tried the outside dimmer yet because it’s too cold to sit on balcony at night but I am sure it will be great.
Regards
Anna and Alan
Hi Kieran,
We couldn’t be happier with the LEDS – they are instant, ‘warm’ white yet bright, and not a single one has given us any trouble.
In comparison, the halogen downlights were blowing regularly and driving us mad – in the 5 years before we switched to the LEDS we always had a few blown lights, and in one or two trouble spots the halogen never lasted more than a day or two before ceasing to work.
As to your work, I would (& have) happily recommend you to anyone – everything was done quickly, efficiently, professionally and at a reasonable cost. In fact, I am typing this on a laptop plugged into the new powerpoint you installed in the island bench with a minimum of fuss!
So yes, we are happy customers – thanks for the follow up.
By the way, I had the light in a bathroom Tastic literally explode yesterday morning, so the end is still in the socket. I reset the fuse so we can still use the other lights & fans etc on that circuit. If I flip off the fuse, is it safe for me to remove the broken end & insert the new bulb myself?
Kind regards,
Krista
Hi Kieran,
You’ve been in our thoughts lately, as we have just moved house to a compact townhouse at Monash – and the kitchen lighting there is terrible!
We’ve enjoyed the new LEDs at Chapman, as the quality of light is so good, and it will be a selling feature.
Colin and I disagree on the brightness – he loves it ‘showroom’, I like it more subdued. So having dimmers is essential for us.
We got the downlights which are flush to the ceiling. Next time, I think the slightly recessed fitting would be better, as I find them too glary when looking towards the ceiling.
Your work was terrific, and we’ll gladly engage you again.
As well as wanting new kitchen lighting at Monash, we need some extra electrical work done: would you be able to do:
replacing a small Tastic in the bathroom with a bigger one
and a heated towel rail seems essential ..
And I’m sure there are other items, which I can’t think of now.
Marilyn.
Hi Kieran,
Thank you for following up, all the lights are working and we are interested to compare our electricity bills.
We were pleased with your work have have recommended you to Anna and Alan.

Jeanette and Denis
Hello Kieran,
This is a follow up email to thank you for the good work that you completed at our house. First the electricals to the garage and then a great surprise when you showed us LED s that when installed brightened up our kitchen life. The down lights that we had previously were expensive to run and ineffective. As an older couple we really appreciate good lighting!
Best wishes!
Regards,
Ron
Thank you for taking the time to come out and visit us and see exactly what it was that we were trying to accomplish with the upgrade to lighting in our house. First off you took the time to find out what we had already and what it was that were trying to achieve, then you brought out working examples that you could demonstrate to us.
Though we did not take you up on it, the offer of leaving a unit with us for a couple of days to see if it was what we wanted was most unexpected and appreciated.
Your professionalism, and respect for your customers was for us something that we really appreciated. In the end we were provided with the sort of product that I had spent months trying to source from the internet and have installed, but had never been able to find in the confusing world of Lux and Lumens.

Kieran and Nick replaced all our internal lighting in preparation for a roof insulation upgrade, and the end result was fantastic. The service was very personable and professional, and they aligned to a "do it once, do it right" approach which I appreciated. Thanks!
If you need electrical work done right, call LED Solutions.⚡ Kieran and Nick recently completed a full power and lighting installation for my new garage, and the experience was phenomenal. 🔌🚗
They worked with a calm focus and effortless efficiency, making a complex job look easy. 🛠️ They answered all my questions, finished the job flawlessly, and left the place spotless. ✨
It's rare to find tradespeople who combine elite technical skill with such a reassuring presence. They literally brightened up my garage while bringing a shockingly peaceful vibe to the job. 💡🧘
Professional, friendly, and zero drama, I can't recommend them enough.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We would highly recommend the work of Kieran and his team. He engaged with us closely, checking lots of details, and re-issuing quotes when we realised we had something else to include. The team changed all 29 LED lights over to much higher quality products, and installed 7 dimmer switches for all the bedrooms and living area. The work was completed in a single day and included clean-up, with plenty of check ins along the way to ensure we were happy with the progress.
Re the lights, we have two products in our house. Both are recessed to reduce glare - the lights in the bedrooms are the Brightgreen Nightshade which change to a warmer temperature when dimmed to assist with sleep and the others are Coolum plus - also a much warmer temperature than we had previously. The photos give an idea of the effects of the dimmer.
As an Autistic person with sensory issues, the work by LEDSolution will greatly assist with my comfort at home - and the place looks fantastic!
Kieran and team are consummate electrical professionals; knowledgeable, on-time, efficient communicators and installation perfectionists. They have completed multiple projects for us including cooktop replacement and wiring, wired smoke alarm replacement, fuse work, new power points (recessed style suggested by LED Solution – with thanks!) and hot water timer connections. Simply our go-to electricians for all jobs.
I recently had them install downlights throughout my home, and the result is amazing! The team was punctual, professional, and took the time to explain every step of the process. The new LED lighting completely transformed the look of my living spaces—everything feels brighter, cleaner, and more energy efficient.
The installers were careful, tidy, and clearly knew their work inside out. I appreciated their advice on positioning and dimmer options, which made a big difference in both functionality and ambience. The quality of the lights is excellent, and I can already see the savings on my electricity bill.
If you’re looking for reliable, skilled electricians in Canberra for downlight installation, I highly recommend LED Solutions and Kieran's team. Great service, top-quality products, and fantastic results!
we asked Kieran to quote for replacing all our lights with LED. Kieran is such an expert on what you should use and why. We are getting him back to install dimmer switches and would recommend him to anyone who needs this work done. He is a really great guy

Words cannot describe how happy we are with our new lights. They change the whole house; they're not only functional, but also look great. Kieran and Nick were professional, friendly, and did an awesome job. Couldn't recommend them highly enough!
We recently had Kieran of LED Solutions replace all our old halogen downlights with new LED's in our apartment in Barton.
Kieran and Nick arrived on time, provided advice on how to achieve the best outcome and they completed the job professionally.
They then cleaned up the tiny mess that was unavoidably made while fitting the new lights.
Kieran is very professional, polite and an excellent electrician.
I highly recommend LED Solutions for any electrical work required in Canberra.

We have been relying on LED Solutions for different properties for over 10 years. They are helpful and patient with answering questions and giving excellent advice. It’s always a pleasure to work with them.
Kieran is also brilliant at finding solutions to electrical challenges especially in the older home. We are very grateful for his lateral thinking to create lighting solutions inside and outside our home.
Safety is everything for their team. They take the time to check all areas are up to Australian safety standards. Also, Kieran loves LED lights but he is happy to work with all lighting. All lights are welcome!
Enjoy working with Kieran and the team!
Kieran and Nick did an outstanding job installing new downlights.
The team also helped with fixing poor bathroom ventilation.
Kieran and Nick are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and display a high level of craftmanship.
Kieran took the time to understand my goals in a consultation prior to commencing works.
I will be reaching out to the team at LED Solutions for all future electrical projects.
We had LED Solution quote and install electrical work for our new Garage. Kieran and the team were amazing, taking the time to go through options, recommendations and future proof their work. Kieran is phenomenal with customer service, keeping us updated, having a bit of banter, but mostly super knowledgable and takes the time to explain everything without a hint of condescension. Kieran is the king of LEDs and an absolute legend with planning out solutions for everything you need. Will be calling you soon for our next project!
